jeff- A lot of people say the same thing, but really you dont know how much work it is until you actually go out there and do it, it is some work and arm pump is killer, twister is probably a little more fast paced than royal, imo i like twister better, i took 2nd for points last year at twister, i wish i was goin up tonight but my chain came off the honda and cracked the left side case....

For you guys that live in NY, where bouts did you purchase your can am from? I'm thinking of Driving up to Ingles Motor sports to get mine, they want like 7500 for the x package, Is that a good deal? Or should i keep looking?

For a 2010? That seems OK. Can't hurt to talk em down
In 08 I got mine for $5600 out the door. I'd aim for $6500

for 5600 i'd buy that in a heart beat, unfortunatly i cant afford to miss any more races so i have to keep the honda until the season is over, it seems like a long ways to go, but i cant wait cuz then i can get the ds if i decide to

Yeah moto, I was thinking the same thing as I watched. I would probably look like a turtle when actually doing it. About where I got the ds from: I bought it used from a guy like 4 hrs west of here for 3800. But then, put a little bit into since then. I think I would have bought new if I did it again as I had no idea the clutch update wasn't done and it blew out while in the middle of the woods. Laid on my stomach and superman'd it with my feet on my friends front bumper back to my truck. Pretty eventful.

But, is it me or to the bikes just seem to tear it up down the track? They seem to go waaayyyy faster with the same effort.

I don't race so first hand I can't tell you, but that is the concept of unsprung weight and power/weight ratio! Others on here say they don't get nearly as tired riding the DS due to the above features! VERY easy to jump and comfy and controllable in the air too!

by any chance was there a guy named James "The Hurricane" Stowell??
he races expert and that guy is crazy, if he doesnt win he crashes, its full throttle all the way... Out there riding feels a lot different than watching, a buddy of mine came to one race to watch, he said that it looked so easy, so the next day he went out and bought a honda 450r, come next week he signed up to race. That guy was goin to get himself hurt or hurt somebody else. By the end of the night he said that he's selling the quad n it looks a lot easier than it is. I dunno, i jus like to go out and hit the jumps. My honda should be done soon so if ya wanna meet up on a tuesday at twister to practice lmk. I haven't rode in about 2 months, im going CRAZY
