Use to own a Ds650 and now looking at picking up a DS450 from a fellow member.

All updates have been done to the quad and seems like it was well maintained. What are some things to look at when purchasing one of these quads?

Its a 800mile drive one way and don't want to get screwed.

Which member is selling? Only things to look for r all updates being done and maintained. If its in good shape, no leaks, rides goodand is cheap, go for it.

Does the clutch have any work done on it? Check the front of the frame (near radiator and near a-arm mounts) for any bends or signs of failure. You can usually tell when a bike has been maintained, but general condition should tell the story.

Thats what I thought. Going to be making the 12hr drive Friday night (11-10) and picking up Saturday. Can't wait to get back into the sport. Planning on stripping it down and doing a good amount of PC and painting the frame. Hopefully will be looking brand new by the time I'm done.

Already read through that. Not planning on PC the frame. Just regular paint. Interested in doing the E85 mod though and a couple other items but that might wait a year to see how the quad runs how it sits.
