hello

MY name is lance berube I live in spokane, wa I bought an 08 ds 450x last october that had about 30 hrs of dune riding on it, I've completed the three common mods;HMF slip-on, pink wire, and air filter, I have the 08 squeak in the clutch (occasional), thank you for all the excellent info. on all aspects of this machine, if any one has any suggestions other than replacing the entire clutch to minimize the squeek I would appreciate it. I'm sure the clutch will eventually go(as per what I have read in the forums)but I would like to get the most out of this one. I ride usually 2-3 times a month mostly trail and dunes, nothing to crazy ,just enjoy ATVing

thank you

if its the stock 08 one expect it to go soon...im surprised its lasted this long...did you buy new or used? when i does go though it can cause quiet a mess of your motor...id save yourself the headache and get the BCS clutch...well worth the money IMO..or get the 09 updated clutch from the dealership

as far as changing the clutch it's not hard. but you need to make sure you get the new cover w/the hole drilled....or...send BCS yours and they can drill it and send it back. last time i remember reading on that it was only about $25 plus shipping back and forth and a very quick turnaround.

I had e-mailed BCS a couple weeks ago and they quoted me 490$ for EVERYTHING (Basket, plates, gasket and there mods). I'll be sending in my clutch sometime in the next couple months.
