10 hr. maintenance rip off!!!
my dealership told me my 10 hr. maintenance will cost me $339.00 plus tax.  is this right ?????

Sounds like you need to buy some tools, probably be cheaper. Haven't heard of too many guys around here having much luck with dealerships doing work on the DS450's. I'm actually one of two ever sold out of my local dealer so I can understand why they wouldn't be too good down there with them but they are awesome with Outlanders.

All it is is an oil change, check ur valves, plugs, etc....other fluids, radiaotr etc...remember the dealership is at least 30%-50% more expensive than a shop

fortunately, i got a maintenance contract with mine, but if you dont, do it yourself. if you have an extended warranty you need the dealer to do it or it will void your warranty. the bogus part of it all is when you get your receipt it will be 40 bucks for parts and the rest labor

Do it yourself if you can. Mine was in for warranty so I just ponied up and let them do it. I think it was like $150. It was the last time they touched it, I do all the work now. Of course I pick up a Service Manual reasonably cheap.

I have probably done 30 or so 10 hr services , most of them were "service contracts "
Just be glad you are not doing a CAN AM SPIDER ..... ouch...

Thats what I need to do, pick up a shop manual "reasonably cheap". Any ideas where to look to get a good deal on one.

I picked mine up from the for sale section here for $75. You just gotta be patient and keep looking. When one pops up get on it fast, there's 10 other guys that want it just as bad. Good Luck.
