well...it depends...see for the $800 you get the armor, nerfs and better suspension...and different bumpers and graphics....

but you can get the base model and revalve your shox for $300 or less and just go with an aftermarket brand bumper and nerfs. i got the base model when it came out for $5600 the month after the ds was released. the x model was $6700. so it made more sense to me to save the $1100 and just change what i was gunna change regardless of which model i got. either way youre guna have to revalve your shox for your size and riding style (unless your already 175lbs and only ride mx)

id save the $800 and consider it an allowance towards better goodies like exhaust, intake and an fmi. and better arms. cuz the stock ones suck. just the base ones tho

Get in the race program if possible. You can get the mx a-arms, and shocks, the 50 inch wide axle, new stem, and bars, for around 1 grand, which is such a killer deal.

I like everything the X package has. For even $800 more I would still buy the x package

X Package if you buy any of these aftermarket would cost you:
Oversized Pro taper Style handlebars $60
+1 Stem (Uses adapters) $60
reinforced wheels $300
nerfs $150
belly skid $100
swingarm skid $100
adjustable clutch lever $30
gripper seat $40
Dual Comp front shocks $300
Auminum bumper $100

total: $1200

If you plan on buying this stuff after, safe the money now and get the package, if you are only getting some of this stuff or none of it, save the money and go w the base DS.
