factory shocks are good, but they are built for a specific rider....one that is roughly 175lbs, rides mixed terrain, and at a decent pace. you can have your shocks tuned to your weight and riding style....personally...i think you got the wrong bike...should got a xxc model since you ride desert...but...whatever...you got a track bike...gotta make it into a desert bike...

now that your power is usable again...send your shocks to someone (there are several sponsers on the forum) that can revalve your xmx shocks into a more desert friendly shock. SUSPENSION IS JUST AS IMPORTANT IF NOT MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR MOTOR. if you cant control your bike, you can use all your power. also, revalving the shocks is SUBSTANTIALLY cheaper than new shocks. you can spend around $300-$1000 max on using your stock kyb shocks and revalving them into a PERFECT shock or you can spend $800-$3000 on new shocks.

ooo i know the car answer! its because the oil sultans and anyone associated with the royal family can afford it! they run outta gas, get a flat tire, screw it....grab a taxi and get another one! was just talking to a guy who worked out there for 3 years and he got to roll around in a neon orange lambo that had a blown tire! he towed it into town, fixed it, filed the paperwork on it (like $300) and then sold it before he left....its crazy!

i its the way its designed ,and if its every 10m there are still some poor drivers that crash

as for the cars that are left on the side fo the roads, its cars that broke down, whether a flat tire, engine issues.

As for Hcomras question, i got the XMX, beacause it was the only bike available, i wanted the XXC from the beginning but they were sold, as i mentioned before, my bike was the last 1 in the country and the 2012 wont come till Mid February.

as for suspension getting revalved, i think getting them shipped to and back will be expensive, as the shipping rates here is a b***h, id rather get new supsension

shipping shocks back and forth will still be cheaper than dropping over $1000 on em...you still gotta pay tax and shipping on aftermarket shocks...i had all 3 of mine re-valved for $300. rocket ron racing has a complete rebuild/revalve with a new pull rod for just under $1000....and race-techs gold series revalve is even cheaper...
