New Can-Am owner

Hello,

I just would like to say hi and introduce myself. I live in Ohio and primarily get together on the weekends with our friends and family to ride. We go on a few trips a year to the dunes and to the Wayne National forrest. When I was in my early 20’s I use to ride Banshee’s. Then I got married and had children and bought a Polaris 500 Sportsman. I have some friends that ride 400 ex’s and Raptors. It has been driving me crazy riding my Polaris with them lately. So I just bought a 09 red DS 450 at White Star auction up in Bronson Michigan. It was a spur of the moment buy that seemed like a good deal. I had been looking at the TRX 450 and the Yamaha 450 then saw these 09 DS 450’s and it was right in the price range of what I wanted to spend on a used 4 wheeler. I had about 1 hour before the auction started to find more out about them. I called a friend and had him look them up on the internet and tell me all he could about them. I decided to buy one. I am not thru the break in period yet so I haven’t been able to really open it up yet, but so far I have been very happy with it. I ended up paying $4200.00 after tax and buyers fees. I have allot of reading to do on here to learn more about them. I think that my engine numbers are old enough that it might have the clutch issue to deal with. The chain also vibrates and makes noise when you’re not giving it allot of throttle in the gear you’re in. I hope Santa brings me a slip-on and some nerf bars this x-mass.

Thanks
Justin

I live in the Northwest corner. I am about 20 min from Michigan and 20 min from Indiana. Send me a link of were I can get a set of those nerf bars. Will they work with any type of heal guards?
