just thought any of you GoPro owners should know, the bar mounts should probably be checked! mine failed this weekend and i lost the camera to the dunes. seems silly that the mount would fail for no reason. i never crashed, the riding was pretty laid back, no big jumps or g-outs....so...to trust a $300 camera on a mount that can fail just doesnt make much sense. ive emailed GoPro about it, and have a bunch of pics of the mount, seems like it broke right at a joint, so well see if they have any insight on the matter. anyways, enough of my rant, gonna go sulk in a corner till they respond

Couldn't find it on the trails? Dune tax. But it sucks. I might have to add some hunter orange stickers to the sides when I get one.

nope. we retraced our tracks all the way back. assuming it got buried in the sand...we were moving pretty quick and there were some sand rails sharing the same lines with us. ive read up that these mounts are prone to break at the joints, which seems pretty stupid since ive seen people use them on much harsher terrain...

yea i really want to go! i told a couple buddies and they said they might be down, but i have to figure out a job first haha plus we are going to try and rent an rv since itll be cooooold and i dont think i could tent it in that weather haha

Free Hero at least, they have to do something... Just get pissed and tell them you saw them throwing them out from their SEMA booth, but they can't take care of a loyal customer?

come on, i'm 36 and still tent it with the whole family!! kids and wife! i wanted to buy a hauler last year and my wife actually said no cuz it would take away the feeling of camping!! great woman i got! and the fact i am going on the guys trip while she stays at home with a 1 month old!
