Remember when gloves were made better?

Maybe this is just me, but I remember about 12-15years ago when I bought a pair of riding gloves, they had a layer of padding on them. Not just glove cloth material, but a layer that covered your fingers and the top of your hand. Now for me this was especially important, I do a lot of desert riding, and there are cactus in unexpected places.

Anyway, just felt like ranting, I can't find any gloves with that protective layer on top now... And Im going to need a new pair before next riding season starts again.

I agree, just bought a new pair of Oneal gloves on clearance, wore them once to the dunes, took them off after three hours of riding and I had a 'chunk' of skin missing whereas it would usually just be a calist....(ya it's spelled wrong)

I'm glad someone else has problems with gloves. I have tried so many pairs. I put holes in them in about a month. I have had luck with fly so far. I have had them for a while and no holes yet.
