Well guys not much into xc and sand lately but we have done our fair share, most of the shock principles are the same so lets see if I can help out a bit. Noone can recommend shock setting’s to another especially by clicks, it’s too dependant on the rider and the terrain. Provided your spring tension, right height, sag (30% or so), valving is set right, a good starting point is bumpy terrain like over branches, whoops in mx or sand to set the rebound to a point where the arms are moving up and down freely with out packing up or not fully extending before going into another compression stroke but not so much that your being buck off like riding a bull. The low speed compression is just that for smaller bumps like on straights or if not equipped to check spring tension for stiffness or cross over gaps, or to make the quad dive or respond more in corners, or get more traction by shifting fwd-back, etc…..you get the idea. High speed compression to take out the big fast loads from jumping it’s good to bottom out at least one for best absorption, etc, another good place to check rebound to not rebound too much when landing jumps…..Making a log of your clicks and setting based on the tracks you ride often is a good idea.
Hope that helps….

Thanks TNT, that suspension stuff I do know, I used to be really involved with cars and road racing, I was just curious what others had their bikes set to.
And in response to the other post about what I don't like on my setup right now, honestly everthing is perfect, and like I said above, was just curious about other peoples settings
