Neither, KYBs. I have run fox, and a lot of my riding friends have fox, and they are a pain in the ass. You constantly have to check the pressure in the shock, its just time consuming. The stock XMX KYB shocks are very good, and are cheap. You you aren't satisfied with the KYBs in stock form, you cna send them out to Rocket Ron, and he makes the already good shocks great. I found the KYBs were too soft, so I sent them to Rocket Ron, and they feel so much better.

I think it really depends on what you race, and class. FOX shocks are great but as Blaster already said. they are time consuming. And hard as hell to set up correctly in the first place. PEPs are somewhat easier. But if you dont race at least Upper B in mx than you dont need to waste that large amount of money really. And if its for XC you def dont need em. lol. A revalve will do just as good for both really and much cheaper.

If I had an unlimited budget ... the bike would rock wayne's PEP's .... but We do not have an unlimited budget. so we have fox's because of the cost factor
PEP's are worth the expense unless you are partiallly sponsored by FOX !

Do yourself a favor. I have dealt with Wayne Mooradian on more than one set of shocks. He's a genius at suspension set up but he is very eccentric. You will wait months to get them straight from Wayne. Furthermore, he doesn't care when you get them. Call Seth Fligge at www.sfracingonline.com. He has everything in stock. Knows his sh*t and will have your shocks to you in a tenth of the time. I've bought everything from P.E.P. shocks to stabilizers from Seth, and they have been awesome every time. He's one of three authorized P.E.P. Service centers in the country and for good reason.
