How to remove ball joints

How to remove ball joints

Hi

Just got my new dc4 a arms and now face swapping the ball joints. Has anyone ever done it?

you need to have a ball joint press or similar tool to take them out and install them again. best thing to do is take them to a shop and have them remove/reinstall them

I know atv's are a little different, but on the stuff I work on. I can pry up under the ball joint and tap the housing and the shock will pop the ball joint out. Might be worth a try if low on funds. You will not damage the ball joint this way because your not beating on it but the housing around it.

Thanks for the advice. I ended up going to Brisbane Jet Ski's (the local Can Am dealer) who pressed them out of the stock and into the dc4's for a measily $55. Can't wait to get them on now!

Coat them with a thin skim of Nev-R-Seez before you install them. It will make them much easier to remove in the futute and prevent them from siezing to the a-arms.

I know the motion pro works with alomost all yami's and honda's dose the same one work with the ds450??
