check out the owners manuel.. but you should turn up the comp a little and a few turns on the springs should be good.. but you really got play with it to your comfort.

You can dial your preload a few full turns at least. I'm not sure where they are sitting now, but I would imagine about 2 1/2 inches of thread showing at least would be the area where you are looking to be, At least with the XMX shocks.

You are going to want your ride height about 8 1/4 - 8 1/2 inches for XC in the front and about 3/4 of an inch lower in the back

Set your ride height first.

under the pegs should be about 7" with you on it in full race gear, 21" in front of the foot pegs you should be about a 1/4" higher. To set the ride height turn the top collars down to compress the springs more. If you can not achieve the ride height w the stock springs, you will need heavier springs.

After you have your ride height set you can begin to set your comp and rebound settings.

8+" of ride height is too much with these quads, 7-7.5" of rear ride height is optimal. MX guys are running about 6.75" and the GNCC pro's are running about 7" at the footpegs.

It will be tough with the stock XC shocks to get it down to 7 at the footpegs for XC,.. at least at my weight for 170 pounds and I have the MX it is tough getting the rear down, to 7. If that fails you may want a revalve.
