Test for a bad multiswitch?

Where should I check the resistance in wires to ensurer I have a bad multiswitch?

New - Battery, solenoid, fuses, relays, stator, rectifier.

I can jump the solenoid contacts and bike starts. I can also run wires from battery in place of the starter solenoid control wires and bike will start. Only getting about 12.3 volts to solenoid when I hit start button. Want to rule out a broken or damaged wire before I buy a new multiswitch.

Thanks gents!
