Top speed Ds 450

I know there are many threads on this. My stock 09 Can-am ds 450 x mx hit the rev limiter at 71. I took the speed with my gps. I took runs with the airbox lid on and off. This did not change the outcome. I thought it was a little slow for what I have read on some threads.

Forgot that the xmx had those gears. Taller rear tires will help with top end

Yeah, I have run my XMX with 14/39 gearing and 20's. Stock motor isn't the best situation for that but it can handle it, and it does feel fast at top speed. But I have never done a speed check.

I ordered a fifteen for the front. I think it will be fun to just experiment with sprockets first.

i've got 14/39 gears in mine and although i like how it stretched the gears out. i did notice the loss on the bottom. i used to start a race in second, now im back to first gear again. i've got a spare exhuast cam for it but i cant justify working on something that runs while i've got stuff that doesnt. i changed the rear so it would be smaller i have an issue with bending the x package skid into the sprocket.
