Cool 09 ds450 x xc

Hi all, My name is Richard Leeke,im from South Africa, i race cars and am enjoying my riding so i bought myself a 09 DS450 X XC. it has a full HMF system, otherwise all standard. My bike is missing on top end, through all the gears it feel 100% but as i reach top end in 5th is starts to miss and hold back a little... why could this be ? Maybe the injectors need to be cleaned, not sure ? if i need to open the engine im thinking of flowing the head, this can give +10bhp they say ?? I would love your guys comments.

2009 ds450

Aloha from San Diego, Just bought mine used. Took her out to Pine Valley in the outskirts of San Diego. First time out had a blast. Got a little too loose and got into some rocks, where she almost climbed the wall...LOL. Had to clutch her down, got very lucky she didn't come back on me. With my cousin and his Yamaha 750, cush ride, but love the DS450. I have some Sea Doos as well, 99 XP and 2003 GTX's(2, for the fam). The difference between my DS and the Yamaha 750, is like riding the big BOATY gtx, vs the XP, DS450 is nimble, light, feel is outstanding. I rode an 83 Honda ATC 250R, and a 93 GSXR 750, sold them all. I just recently test drove a Maverick X3 at a test run in Scottsdale, AZ, Turbo, DS and RS. Those are definetly in my 2-3 yr targets.

On the negatives, had a few ghost neutrals, does anyone have any recommendations.

Just bought the Moose skid plate, and the Factory 43, XC Bumper and Rear Grab Handle, out of Montreal Canada. I'll post real pics when I get everything installed. Below pic is the stock pic I pulled off the internet. Steeve, I'm waiting for a estimated delivery date lol.

Prob headed to Gorman once I get my wifes DS250....

Just Ride!

Hi All my names Chris located on Long Island NY. I just bought a 2008 450ds to ride with my kids. I am am skidding snowmobiler so BPR name was great to go with for me. I snowmobile up in tug hill where I’ll mainly ride this quad. My 3 kids all have quads we ride.
I road race motorcycles all on east coast.R- and a gixxer 600. So I needed something quick to keep me entertained.
Thanks for some great information I already found on this forum. I’ll be stoping by here when I can.
Thanks again for a great site.

Heyooooooooooo new can am owner here.

Hey everyone!!!!! My name is mike. I am a new owner of a 2008 can am ds 450 ...basic bones. My problem is the famous fuel pump. I haveThe pump Out of the tank... my issue is there is a black wire that comes from the bottom that powers something attached on one end near the bottom of the pump —-and it is hanging on the other end in picture 2. I have an idea where it goes. I think it goes into the clip harness itself or ——-onto area 3. Let me know what you all think. What fun this is to get this tank off huh. Wow omg. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.!!!! 😊
