When I cut my 08 plastics, I only made cut #2 (pic 3 diagram). I didn't need to cut up the plastics. I figure, less holes looks better and is more stable. :)

BCS and Can-Am grills are the same, I ordered mine from BCS and got the Can-Am instructions with it. you do need to cut your plastics just a little to get the new grill to fit, but it's easy.

I'm in the midst of replacing those that I need to cut off as well. I'm using M10-1.25 x (length) bolts. I have yet to find the rivets on any schematic/parts list.

IMHO, they aren't going to make any major changes on something that doesn't sell very well. but I guarantee, if they up the beefiness of the frame and a few other things, they'd be the big thing...
